Modes and skills
Code projects get Claude Code with a shell. Writing projects get a screenwriting partner. General is for conversation, ideas and setup. Design polishes the look behind guardrails. A chat takes its project's mode, and you can switch one chat with the Model button. Skills (sign-ins, Gemini, phone files and more) load only when a task needs them.
Design mode
Design mode polishes how a project looks without changing how it works. It runs the tests and photographs the screens first, then edits stylesheets, markup and images. Edits that would break code the app relies on are refused. Review shows before and after side by side, with Accept or Revert per file.
Writing mode
A screenwriting partner, not a coder: honest notes, your voice kept, proper Fountain format, and no shell or phone tools. Every writing chat starts with the whole script and the story bible, which she keeps up to date. Writing chats never roll by themselves, and your edits reach her as a diff with your next message.
Script pane
✎ Script opens Fountain on the left and real formatted pages on the right, with Scenes, Cast and Drafts at the side. It saves itself as you type. Tab moves through screenplay elements, names and locations autocomplete, and Ask Claudia drops your selection or scene into the message box.
Drafts and Final Draft
Every change first copies the old script into Drafts; nothing is ever deleted. Restore any draft. If she changed the script while you typed, you choose: take hers or keep yours. Export FDX writes a Final Draft file (scene numbers for a shooting script); Import FDX brings one in.
