Sounds on the PC
Settings > Sound: Off, Beep or Voice. The PC tells you when a reply is done, a chat waits for your go, something errors, or a chat's cache is about to go cold. With Voice the alerts speak as your assistant (I'm done in…) and vary each time. Pick any English voice, American or British, and press Test.
The Scroll setting picks how the chat moves while a reply arrives: Top, Follow, Still, or Prompter, a steady teleprompter crawl at the speed you choose.
PC, Phone or Muted
One button picks where the sound comes out. PC: the PC talks, the phone stays quiet. Phone: the phone talks, the PC stays quiet. Muted: no voice, alerts still beep. If a line wouldn't be heard, Settings tells you why.
Speak on the phone
Set the sound to Phone and the spoken line plays on the phone, same voice, at media volume. Volume almost off with no earbuds counts as muted; earbuds in, it talks anyway. When nobody would hear a line, the assistant skips writing one, which saves tokens. Numbers, years, dates and money are said the human way.
Spoken lines and quiet hours
Let Claudia speak swaps the alert for a spoken line, one per reply at most. Chattiness: Quiet (only when a long job ends), Normal, or Chatty. Quiet hours (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM by default) silence everything overnight.
A word said wrong? Tell her once. She adds it to her pronunciation list and says it your way from then on.
Sound tuning
Every change is live. The assistant picks each line's speed and warmth herself to fit her mood. Keep audio awake stops a sleepy sound card from eating the first words. Lead-in and tail add silence around a line, and a voice cache makes repeated alerts play instantly. Long lines start speaking after the first sentence; the rest is made while it plays.
